Default Escape to

My husband and I own a hotel and restaurant called Le Sainte Anne in
Sigean, which is situated in the heart of the Cathare country and about
45 mins from the Spanish border.
This corner of France is still wild and still largely unclaimed by the
ever thirsty tourist industry. Fives mins drive will take to the coast
where you'll find huge streatches of golden sandy beaches. Step off the
beach and into the sea, turn around and snow peaked tops of the
Pyrenees mountains wink back at you. Five minutes walk from us will
take you to the Etangs (lakes) where you'll be greeted by Flamingos and
oyster beds.
Perfectly located in the heart of the Cathare country 'La Cite' of
Carcassonne is a mere 45 minutes from us and if you chose to take the
route via the Corbierres it will take through some of most the
breathtaking terraine France has to offer! A must see for fans of the
Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, it's also perfect for walkers and cyclists
looking for a challenge.
We moved here about 18 months and it was the bravest thing I think I've
ever done, I didn't even speak french when we first moved here! If you
are looking for a change in lifestyle I would highly recommend it but
it's no holiday! Choose your destination carefully, if you can afford
to live there for 2 or 3 months before you buy, it also helps to have a
general grasp of the language!

Please do come and visit us, you can see more about us on our website
at www.le-sainte-anne.com
