Chapel St Backpackers is directly across from Windsor train station on
the Sandringham metro line - around 10 mins from the city. It has one
of the only 24 hour bottle shops in all of Melbourne directly across
the road.

Sorry, but I actually live in Melbourne and therefore have no idea
about the quality of the place, no idea about internet access,
kitchen etc etc.

What I can tell you is that there are several local bars on or off
Chapel St. You will have no problems getting a beer locally. I
recommend Greville St at the moment - Boutique, Cherry, the Greville
etc. Loads of cool bars there.

If you have any questions at all about Melbourne, don't hesitate to
fire away..

There are very, very few 24 hour bottle shops in Melbourne.

24 hour bars? Very few. A lot are open till, 7am though.
