Booking agency or direct to hotel?
I saw paradores-spain.com, one of my sites on Iberia, mentioned with the question 'how do they make money'. Initially my site was a hobby. the accommodation section resulted from placing a friends manor house on my pages which continue to be a free service for sailors on the Portuguese coast. As other businesses, including the Pousadas and Paradors, have been included on the site, I have had to employ staff and charge for the service. I now trade as a promotion company and have an arrangement with the Paradores for them to pay my firm for the promotional work done. All reservations are arranged as a contract between the guest and the Parador at their published prices. -- DavidL Posted via http://britishexpats.com |
