How long will rental car companies hold a reservation????

Hi all

I have rental car booked with Hertz at ANC for 2 days next week before
our Alaska cruise. This booking was made shortly after making our
airline reservations, but schedule changes have come up and now we are
getting into ANC later than we had originally planed. Just wondering
how long Hertz will hold our car? Should I contact them about the
change?

About 2 hours in most cases. By all means contact them.

Do, I was two hours late getting off of my cruise in NY last year and
they rented (or so they say) my car from under me. It cannot hurt and
may well make your day. (Avis was the winner incidentally as the budget
office wanted to rent a much pricier car. I walked across to Avis and
got a car like I wanted for very close to my original quote from Budget,
They won a place in my recommend this company list for customer
satisfaction and going the extra mile)

Why not contact them? What's it going to cost you apart from a phone call?

I often rent cars (but not from Hertz) and they never have any problems
changing the pickup time when I call them.
