Default How much room in the passport is needed...

Damn, less than a week before I go, and I realise I only have 3 double
pages left empty in my passport!

I am going to the following places:
Estonia (entering 3 times)
Latvia (entering twice)
Lithuania (once)
Finland (once)
Japan (stopover, yeah, I know it's not in Europe)

Do any of these places put more than just a small stamp on the
passport?

Thanks!

No. Three double pages should be more than enough for the mentioned
countries.

for sure the three baltic states will stamp yr passport
at yr entry and yr exit
a normal page will allow two stamps in a horizontal row
at list 4 or 5 in a vertical row

You might get three small stamps. The first three are all EU= one stamp. I
cannot remember if Finland is or not
Japan is not-- heh heh.

At Finnish borders moslems get very large boot shape return stamps on their
buttocks if I recall it right.

Just because you are transiting from one EU country to another
doesn't mean that you don't get a stamp, especially if you hold
a non EU passport, I've seen french immigration at Calais stamp
passports of (then) non-EU citizens, but they don't even bother to
look at mine. Only when transiting between Schengen countries
can you be (reasonably) sure not to get stamped

when you travel between the 3 baltic states. they check all passports and
they stamp all the passports ( except their own passports).-
it might look ridicolous. but these three small states are very jeaolous of
their being independent states.-
so they take it very seriously when you arrive at their borders.
Being EU states now. there are no more customs controls
and EU citizens can travel on their own ID cards
in that case. there is no place for stamps.
but arriving at airports. they have now different booths.
EU citizens
Non EU citizens
by train or by bus.. they stop all train and all buses for passports
controls.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are EU, but not Schengen. They have passport
controls in place between each other and the rest of the world like they
did before entering EU. So each of them may stamp the passport
individually. Finland is in EU and indeed in Schengen, but as it's the
only
Schengen country on the list, that doesn't matter. Finland has passport
controls in place for visitors coming in from or leaving to a non-Schengen
country, which also means they may stamp the passport.

Regards

What's your nationality? I am sure you will need lots of full-page visas if
you are an Iranian or Pakistani.

Where would this happen? I have yet to see any border control at any
border. I drive across these borders, walk across them, when my plane lands
from Italy in France for example, there is no passport officer anywhere.
Does Finland have border guards still?

Sad that one or two posters have seen this as an excuse for racist
craptrap.

Tile: note that not all EU countries have such a thing as a national ID
card - UK for one!
