Default Greyhound Bus Query

I'm traveling from the UK in February and are planning on travelling
from Toronto ON to Niagara and then onto Cleveland OH.
Thing is I'm having trouble booking Greyhound bus tickets for the
journeys. They will accept international credit cards but I can't seem
to get them to pick up the phone when I call...
So a two part question.

1. What are the chances of ticket availabilty if I decide to wait and
buy them when I get to Canada? I would have thought February would be a
quiet time, would that be right?

2. I have family in the USA (Cleveland OH). Could they purchase the
tickets with their credit card and I pickup the ticket at a Greyhound
station in Canada?

Any other suggestions welcome!

If you can't reach them on the phone, you could order the the tickets
online. If I understand correctly, if you use an international credit
card they won't mail the tickets to you but they'll hold them for you
at the terminal.

On this page is a link to online ordering, and also on the bottom of
the page is a note about international credit cards:

From that page...

"For International Customers an International credit card can be used
for Will Call online ticket purchases"

which I think means telephone orders doesn't it?

Online means via the Internet.

Have you considered taking the train instead of the bus? At least for the
first leg to Niagara Falls? More comfortable. For Niagara Falls to
Cleveland, however, I see a longish layover in Buffalo. Not the best time of
year to see Buffalo.

Yes that probably will be a better option. Is it Viarail the company
I'll need to use for that?

There's a 12 hour layover at Buffalo for the trip between Niagara and
Cleveland, so we won't be using Amtrak for that leg!
Apparently I can't book the scheduled bus (11.45 am) for the trip from
Niagara to Cleveland online :-(
They only accept telephone orders!

So I back to square one for that leg. Does anyone know whether I can ask
my family in Cleveland to book the Niagara ON to Cleveland leg online
and allow me to collect the tickets in Canada?

I think they're saying that international cards can be used for
internet orders, but delivery will be by "will call" (pick up in
person) rather than by mail.

By the way, they say elsewhere that if you order tickets that way, you
must have that same credit card with you when you pick up the
tickets .

You could try STA Travel or www.westernair.co.uk in the UK. I think they
only sell passes rather than stage tickets but you can but ask.

Otherwise book it online and select the WillCall option. This allows you
to specify where you pick the tickets up - in your case probably the
departure point of the bus just before departure.

Buy them when you get to Toronto. I doubt that you will have any problems.
