The bill targets programmes, including the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, which the Israeli government has been campaigning against." Appears to me the Israelies would like to remove any form of hope from the Palestinians. Actually it is the "Palestinians" who are their own worst enemy - besides which even their Arab "friends" consider them garbage... -- Best Greg |

Appears to me the Israelies would like to remove any form of hope from the Palestinians. Actually it is the "Palestinians" who are their own worst enemy - besides which even their Arab "friends" consider them garbage... Change the date to 1938 substitute Jews in appropriate place. Except that the Jews in 1938 did not have UN resolutions in their support, billions of dollars in aid from various governmental and NGO sources over the years, the international community supporting their goal of statehood... Besides which the Jews by 1938 had achieved many fine accomplishments over the centuries, mightily enriching world culture. Contrast that with the "Palestinians", whose sole claim to fame so far has been blowing up innocent civilians... And isn't it "odd" that the "Palestinians" are treated as absolute pariahs by their Arab "brother" nations, all those vast oil riches and many of the "Palestinians" are still rabble living in squalid refugee camps. My, my...couldn't a wealthy place like say the UAE take in at least a few hundred thousands of them and set them up in comfort as a fine humanitarian gesture? It would be a mere bagatelle for a well - off place like the UAE... I really wonder whether some of you Europeans consider any history before making your flip comments. -- Best Greg |

Greg:
The "Palestinians" (who are actually refugees, their real home is in Jordan) Best not to let your agenda be TOO obvious Greg. There is always a chance that someone will believe you, but that chance is not improved when you pad out your argument with blatant Zionist propaganda. |

Gregory Morrow ha escrito: Heck after Gulf War I what did the Kuwaitis do to their "Palestinian" brothers? Kicked them all out of Kuwait lock, stock, and barrel... A lot of Palestinians collaborated in the Saddam ocupation as informants, guards, and even manning checkpoints. They were not exactly popular after that. The "Palestinians" (who are actually refugees, their real home is in Jordan) are just used by the Arabs as a means to constantly wail about the Evil Israelis, they are cynically used as pawns. With the exception of a few going to Lebanon and Jordan, none of these refugees are permitted to settle in any of the Arab states, they are unwanted. Heck, there are more of these people settled in Hamburg or in Dearborn, Michigan USA than there are in the UAE or Saudi or wherever... Most of the best and better educated Palestinians left for Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi, UAE, etc. at an early stage and blended perfectly with the local population. Radicals are not welcome anywhere. J. |

It's a bitter irony to some that Israeli Arabs, despite the prejudices that they certainly suffer, have a better standard of living and quality of life than most of their neighbours. -- David Horne- www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk |
