Hanoi or Saigon?

If you had to chose one of the two cities to visit, which would you choose?

And Why???

I am flying into Hue from Bangkok & leaving from either of these two cities...I
only have a couple days.

depends. Hanoi is smaller, quieter, less commercial, lovelier, more
French-colonial-like. Saigon has more action.

I prefer Hanoi. great food, lots of temples, nice hotels, tree-lined
streets, serene lakes. outside the city the countryside can be
spectactular. besides, where else besides Moscow and Beijing can you see a
peasant under glass?

I would choose for Hanoi.
