Travelling from Indonesia to Australia by sea

Hi All,

My partner and I are going to try to make it out to NZ from Scotland
without using a plane, departing early next year. We reakon we can
make it to Singapore by train, with a ferry to Indonesia - but making
it into Australia seems to be the difficult bit. I'm going to take a
bit more of a look at getting a couple of crewing berths on a private
vessel (partner will hopefully have a Competent Crew certificate, and
I should have passed my Day Skipper by then).

Can anyone offer any advice?
