Default $1 flight to Whitsundays

Hi
I scored some return flights to Whitsundays yesterday for early February.
$1 fare + surcharge + credit card fee came to $132 for two return. How
good is that?

Now as you can see I like a bargain, and i like to take my holidays in the
quieter times. Where can i find good accomodation at a resonable price?
( 4 nights ) I am interested in islands or sailing, want to be on the
water or at least very close. ( I don't want to stay at Airlie Beach)

I have seen some island specials, but hey it is still expensive for a
Queenslander
I am open to any ideas or suggestions

Cheers
Jeff

I am still trying to figure out how aus.photo fits in with cheap flights to
the Whitsundays?

Anyway, about the accomodation - considering you have saved so much on the
flights why not stay on Hayman Island? Very nice (and they do have
introductory morning classes on "How not to cross-post to irrelevant
forums")

Seriously, if you are trying to save money then go for Long Island or South
Molle Island. For mid priced holiday go for Daydream Island or Hamilton
Island and for top drawer then Hayman or Bedarra Island.

You might have to wait a few days depending on when you start in February.

ah yes! I thought i might get a few comments

In fact my fellow photographers may even recall the pleasure they had in the
Whitsundays, taking pics of Nara Inlet, Cid Harbour or Whitehave Beach to
name a few! I find photographers to be quite an adventurous bunch!
Guys, thanks for your valued ideas...

Cheers
Jeff
