Default EuroBonus or Lufthansa Miles and More?

wrote in message
ups.com...
anyone have any thoughts as to which is the better frequent flyer
program (or which of the star alliance member programs is the best?)

I currently have a EuroBonus card, but miles earned are pretty skimpy
(for an Air Baltic flight from Riga to London I get a massive 300
points) - and, as per their manual, for a free in-Europe flight I need
40,000 points! I have a Delta Sky Miles account and there, 50,000 miles
gets me a free trip from Europe to US.

Is Miles and More (or any other star alliance program) better?

Miles and More is BAD because their miles expire after 3 years even if you
have earnt more since.

I fly AIr Baltic frequently, their flight are counted in EuroBonus, but
since they are not Star Alliance (at least I don't think they are), not
sure if the air baltic flights would be counted on a Miles and More
account.

Thanks for any thoughts!
