Default European cities

Hello,
I am visiting my sister in London and February. I will be flying in on
a Sunday night. Monday-Thursday I will be seeing London, Battle, and
Bath/Stonehenge. On Friday I want to fly via Easyjet or Ryanair to some
other European city. We will leave early in the morning and return the next
night. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. I have been to
Madrid before and would really like to take my sister there, who has never
been. But, where else would you recommended going. I've thought about
Rome, too. Thank you all.

I'd go as far south as possible at that time of year.

? Athens with easyjet

Dont forget that BA is often cheaper than easyjet/Ryanair unless you can get
one of those really special deals. - but the cheap BA fares are not
changeable - the E/R ones are - for a fee.

For that short period of time I suggest you visit another city in
Britain. There are lots of interesting alternatives. You say you will
use 4 days in London. If it is important to se another country, what
about Amsterdam. Rome or Madrin deserves at least the same mount of
time. You will probably feel you don't have enough time, have spent to
much of it flying and on airports and spent a lot of money on a not
fully satisfactoring experinence.

Best regards,

Jan

Spend the time in Battle and explore the beautiful countryside of E Sussex.
Visit your namesake town of Hastings just down the road from Battle.
Failing that make use of Eurostar and go to Paris/Lille/Brussels. BobS

Forget Athens. Mainland Greece isn't all that desirable. The Islands,
on the other hand...

Prague? Barcelona? Copenhagen? Stockholm?

The most genuine European city today, will probably be
Krakow, Poland.

I find Kuhmo the most genuine.
