I can't tell how much I'm spending without my iPad's currency converter,

As a Brit, Denmark is easy. It's had a 10 to 1 exchange rate for most of
the past 20 years.

Mostly I use a card 8-)

Even as an American I would have thought that using 10 to 1 gets you
close enough. It will just make the cost of things in DK look reasonable
instead of the humongously expensive reality.

but other than that, Denmark is a wonderful and wonderfully civilized
country 8-) Tomorrow the major part of the sightseeing gets moving here in
the Faroes.

As someone with a Historical bent I've never found much of interest in DK

Depends on your historical bent. Mine goes back from about 1400 into
geology. Heavy on Old Notse. On other visits: Roskilde, open-air hisorical
museum, historical museum , Sagnlandet. Not that modern stuff. This time
mostly to sleep before continuing to the Faroes.

I've been on that ferry two years ago, and I remember that they did have
about 4 bouncers in the bar, all tall lads with lots of tattoos. I was
sitting near the entrance, when they rushed in and pulled out a drunk guy
with three bouncers, pulling his arms behind his back and then putting his
head down on the table at the chief-councer at the entrance. I don't know
what he had done, but he was handled quite rough an crying as they pulled
him out.
Prabably thy have a few arrest-cells on board for occasions like this.

No snow?

Well, there was white stuff flying through the air on one island today, but
I nelieve it was sleet. The rain is feeding all the lovely waterfalls but
making photography a bit difficult.

We've been having thunderstorms and very heavy horizontal rain. We had hail last
week.

Today the snow was so heavy at times the next island was invisible despite
its proximity. At least the historical museum was finally open this
afternoon.
