Default security overkill

Isn't the security inspections we have now nothing more than a smoke
screen and a "feel good" for some government officials

go to youtube and you can see videos of what 1 gram of flash powder will
do, another shows what 10 grams of a substance did to an old Microwave
oven. If it will do this to a microwave oven, It could certainly damage
an aircraft.

1 gram is enough to put in a contact lens case and 10 grams would fit
inside a pill bottle. Contact lens cases and pill bottles one can easily
take in carry on baggage oe even in one's pockets without being
questioned or detected

Also if people are looking for organic compounds and the energetic
substances used are inorganic thay may slip through any detection process

No, it's theatre for the sake of making the sheeple feel safe, and
possibly providing some pork for political needs.

money for very expensive equipment with lights motors and buzzers adds
to the cost of an already expensive airline ticket

speak up if you feel something is not right, I do as nothing will change
or get better if people don't speak up

substances used are inorganic thay may slip through any detection process
