Default Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock Recommendations

What are some recommended touring options for a 2-day stay in Alice
Springs, 1 day in Kings Canyon and 1 day in Ayers Rock in August?

From Alice Springs, is a full day tour to Palm Valley something

special? What would be a good choice for the second day?

In Ayers Rock, is the Sounds of Silence dinner something special? Is it
too cold for it in August?

Any recommendations you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It will drop below freezing. When I was there at that time of year
there was a frost every night. Take a decent winter weight
sleeping bag and you'll be fine.

5 degrees C at the Rock and 6 degrees at the Alice are the average August
minimum temperatures, frosts are reasonably common in the Red Centre in
winter.
