Default American Budget Cuts

According to today's Dallas Morning News, AA is again considering doing away
with "More Room in Coach" - they are also making other changes in order to
save money, like consolidating overnight maintenance in out-stations on
similar aircraft types (i.e., all MD80's in one city rather than a mix of
types).

I sure hope they keep the more room but its looking less and less likely :-(

Jeff

That was a forgone conclusion. As soon as the load factors picked back up

(which
they have now, even with 9/11) there's no way the bean counters would

approve
additional flights when cramming more seats in is effectively "free."

From my experience with their 757s, it will take them YEARS to convert all
the planes back to usual spacing.
