Strange, But True Airport News

The don't pay screeners enough for this kind of search. An Iraqi
national caused a security scare at Los Angeles International Airport
after screeners discovered wires on his body and a magnet inside his
rectum, reports the New Zealand Herald. Fadhel al-Maliki, 35, set off
the alarm during a routine screening, and the bomb squad was called to
check what was called a suspicious item during a body cavity search,
said the newspaper. He was on his way to Atlantic City, via
Philadelphia on US Airways. he was questioned about his strange
behavior, but it was determined he was not a threat.

I guess he should be thankful it didn't happen in Boston, where they
likely would have chosen to destroy the suspicous item remotely with
explosives.

"Fire in the hole!"
