Default Montreal Airport & Montreal hotels?

1) Recommendations for hotel close to (or in?) the Montreal airport?
Not looking for rock-bottom price; pleasant, and quick and convenient
connection for early morning departure more important.

2) Similar query for downtown Montreal hotel: pleasant, convenient to
center of town.

Can't help with the airport location, but I've always liked the Hilton
Bonaventure in Montreal; it's on the top two stories of an office
building. Very convenient to the St. Catherine St., if that's the area
you're looking for.

The nicest hotel close to the Airport is probably the Airport Hilton,
which is very close to the terminal (but not walking distance). Of
course they have a shuttle.

There are many nice hotels downtown. The Hilton Bonaventure is
certainly one of them. Others include the Marrriott Chateau Champlain,
the Hyatt Regency, the Centre Sheraton, and the Loews Vogue. They are
all in convenient locations, but precisely how convenient depends on
exactly where you want to be. These are all large hotels in the
business/shopping district of downtown. There are also a bunch of
small, boutique hotels that have opened recently in the old historic
part of town, if that's your preference.

There's the Dorval Hilton. about 5 minute walk but most would wait the
15 minutes for the shuttle. It is rtechnically on airport grounds. Just
outside the airport, there are motels/hotels also. But you need to take
the shuttle buses.

Dorval was officially rename P-E Trudeau Airport, but not all of the
stuff has been changed. Road signs have been changed unfortunatly.
