That's been the case in Australia for a couple of months
now. I was very surprised to be able to see my own house
from the street, close-up. A lot of people here are
expressing privacy concerns.

For those interested in "Street View", try an example.

Find my town, Pottsville, Australia, on Google Maps.

Click on "Street View"; play around with it a little. The
detail, for a small village in the boondocks, is simply
amazing. I can fill the screen with a picture of my own home
and front yard.

They've had to deliberately smudge faces, car rego numbers
and similar identifiers because of the complaints.
