Where to go?

because everyone's forgetting the most interesting country, i'll state it: india but be sure to have loads of time at hand because it's bigger and there's more to see than what you may expect. Ben While India has a tremendous amount to offer, I wouldn't recommend it to a novice traveller. Thailand is a much easier first-time Asian trip. Other possibilities include: Japan - if you have the budget. Hong Kong and its surroundings - for a short trip (up to 10 days). China - if you stick to Beijing/Shanghai/Xian/Hong Kong. Off the beaten track travel in China can be difficult. Peninsular Malaysia - I consider it a lower priority, but some prefer it to Thailand. |
