Default To all "patriotic" americans...

All patriotic americans who strongly believe that their government's actions
were honest and necessary to preserve the United States, you should take a
look at the following document:

http://www.ceip.org/files/Publicatio...p?from=pubdate

This is from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a washington
think tank which has spent 6 months researching the issue.

While you may choose to disbelieve your allies outside the USA to protect your
own government, perhaps there is a chance you might believe a serious report
prepared by americans in the United States.

The BBC reported the issuance of this report, and as part of the BBC report,
it was mentioned how it had been ignored by USA media.

jesus Christ, you have proof your government lied to the american public and
the USA media chose not to show this ?????? What the **** is happening in the
USA ? Has everyone been anesthetised and remains totally paralysed, allowing
the government to do everything it wants without being challenged ?

I suggest that you look back over the last 30 years of grave pronouncements
and analysis emitted like noxious flatulence from this source, laughably
without ether accuracy or objectivity in most of what it so gratuitously
mistates.

After all, both Teddy Kennedy and Bill Clinton told me that Iraq had
WMD....

Hey JF. It was not ignored here, the BBC is lying if they said that.
Do you believe everything the BBC reports?

JF, it's selfish of you to only share your wisdom with rec.travel.air alone and
leave out your friends in the other groups you frequent. Surely they would want
to read such precious gems as this too, don't you think?

And the UN has fully documented the fact that Iraq *had* WMD. And it is even
documents that Iraq used WMDs.

The issue isn't whether Iraq had them, it is whether Iraq STILL HAD THEM. And
the UN was coming close to teh conclusion that Iraq had complied and no longer
had them.

Did you read the now infamous "sexed up" dossier Bliar had released ?It was on
the British government web site the day it was released (or should be say
"re-released" since it had been handed in as an assignment by some student in
the USA *years* before).

That dossier talk about everything Iraq had done in the past and provided
absolutely nothing of substance to substantiate claims that Iraq could attack
the USA within 45 minutes notice.

What happened is that the executive summary contained all sorts of
accusations, stating that they were substantiated in the rest of the document,
but the rest of the document didn't substantiate any of those accusations.
Bliar, Bush and the US media just read the executive summary and concluded
that Hussein was about to drop a combination nuclear-bio-chemical bomb laced
with old rancid anthrax over central park.

I watched CNN for 10 minutes and saw no mention of it. During the
CLinton-Lewinsky "scandal" or the OJ Simpson trial, you couldn't escape those
stories even if you watched for a minute.

Seems to me that fact that a government engaging a country in an illegal
invasion based on falsified and sexed up "evidence", where thousands died
needlessly and costing billions shoudl be cause for great debate on whether to
hang that president of just impeach him.

If none of the media make a big fuss about how an administration is lying to
the public, it is no wonder that there is still such strong support for the
bush regime in the USA since the USA public isn't aware of what their
goverment is doing (and would probably find it hard to believe that a US
government could have done something so terribly wrong without any americans
posing serious opposition).

The present US government is conservative. Conservativism can well be
considered as an intellectual disease that prevent the mind from thinking
straight. The Conservatism disease works by implanting certain values in
your brain that effectively prevent you from asking certain questions. One
of the most effective of those values is patriotism. The present
administration seems to have been extremely successful in promoting this
insane value so that now even the US press has become lame!

Of course you agree, but then it doesn't look all that smart when you post a
message agreeing with a message you wrote.
