Default Transit: Heathrow Terminal 3 to Terminal 4

I read the reviews in
http://www.airlinequality.com/Airpor..._forum/lhr.htm
and I am panicking. I will have 3 hrs and 35 minutes to catch my
connecting flights, if both flights are on time (ha! ha!).I've looked at
http://www.heathrowairport.com/, it says 60 minutes is good enough. In
the reviews,I could not find any comments from transit passengers.
So,if you have done Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 transfer as a transit
passenger recently, I would like to hear from you.

Thanks,

3 1/2 hours is a plenty of time at LHR.

I have to do Terminal 3 internationl to Terminal 1 Ireland next week in 2
hours. My travel agent insisted that this is enough time. Do I need to go
through security? Or can I stay airside?

You will certainly go through security, the UK does not trust security
in other countries, all departing passengers have to go through UK
security, and rightly so.

Heathrow may be bad, but its not that bad. 3h35m is plenty of time.
Just follow signs for flight connections.

You can stay airside, but you'll still go through a security check.

You will certainly go through security, the UK does not trust security

I transferred 4 to 1 10 days ago, and the airside security check had
giant queues - going landside and back in took very little time.

The last time I was in Heathrow I was patted down and had my hand
luggage searched twice! And I look like a middle-aged schoolteacher.
I was impressed.

Impressed? why weren't you annoyed - or do you consider the security
on flights from other airports too poor?

Jim.
