Hurricane Ivan
JF wrote:
I hear Grenada is a MESS..the prison crumbled..Prime Ministers house wrecked..a total state of devastation. Lots of rain and some wind in AUA, CUR and BON as I type. They say there has NOT been a hurricane in these parts for 127 yearssssssssssssss.......... Yes, it must be terrible, with a CAT4 passing directly over the island. Montserrat was devastated by a similar one about 10 years ago. Jamaica and Cuba both look like they're going to have the complete brunt of this one, too. That will be devasting to the resorts, but fortunately Cuba has the best disaster- preparedness in the caribbean. Anyone planning to holiday in Jamaica or Cuba from today onwards SHOULD NOT GO DOWN THERE! You will be trapped for days, perhaps in awful conditions. -- Ken Tough |
