United vs. US Airways
I am looking at flights to send my kids to camp, and United and US Airways
have, remarkably, the exact same flight schedules between FLL and CLT. Besides a few dollars in price, is there any difference between these airlines? I have never flown on either. Thanks, Chris |

Thanks, Chris Its probably the same plane - a code share - are the last digits of the flight numbers the same - thats usually a give away - also try looking at them both through the airlines web sites one should tell you its operated by the other. |

... United and US Airways have, remarkably, the exact same flight schedules between FLL and CLT. As pointed out by others, they are code-share flights. CLT is the major US Airways hub airport, and United has agreements with US to sell United tickets on US planes on that route. All of the non-stop flights are on US Airways aircraft. |

Las Vegas - Washington (was: United vs. US Airways)

There are three possibilities. The least expensive flights, at the moment, are overnight connecting flights into BWI on United. These flights use a combination of TED, United, and United codeshare on US Airways. They are around $227, if you depart Monday thru Wednesday. Other days of the week are about $20 more. Daytime connecting flights are offered by a number of airlines at about $275. If you want a non-stop flight, then the fares start at about $410. A number of airlines offer that fare. |

Thanks to all who responded. I didn't know about such things - very interesting. US Airways at the moment is about $10-15 cheaper, so I guess we'll book their part of the airplane! Thanks again, Chris |
