Default Staying and getting around in Seattle

Thanks for all the advice! Looks like we're going with the Comfort
Suites at 6th and Roy. Hopefully that will put us close enough to
attractions and transit.

Thanks again!

I'm going to be spending a Saturday and Sunday in Seattle next month
and am trying to figure out where I should focus my hotel search.
We'll be doing the usual touristy things- Space Needle, Pike's market,
etc. My first inclination would be to stay on the outskirts, since I
know it's more expensive to stay downtown. But I don't know how
feasible it is to find parking when you drive into the city. So I
don't mind spending a few extra dollars to stay downtown if it means
we can just walk to wherever we want to go.

So I guess I'm just curious to know how easy it is to drive various
places or are you better off just hunkering down somewhere and
walking.
