NYC-Should I drive or not? Also-How do I get to Coney Island?

you can't avoid the walking unless you havbe a wheel chair. Not sure if you can rent one there, but may be orthwhile to check on it. You can borrow a wheelchair at the museum. They are at the Will Call desk, just inside the entrance to the planetarium building (The Rose Center). Larry |

Eddie Type 2 wrote: Thanks...........I will consider public transportation as a method of getting around. Are there any benches in the Museum??? I can walk a bit, so long as I have something to lean on, I can rest my back. There are benches in the museum. Also, the museum has a direct entrance from the subway station, although it is sometimes closed during terrorist alerts. If it's closed it is not a long walk to the museum street entrance, however. Eddie I wonder if you already visited New York, but in any case, I'll add this: My parents, who have some trouble going up and down stairs, take busses rather than the subway. It takes longer, but it works. Just look at www.mta.info for a Manhattan bus map and schedules. Michael If you would like to send a private email to me, please take out the TRASH, so to speak. Please do not email me something which you also posted. |
