... Yes, but rosbif in French is more than a piece of meat on a plate... It can be a piece of ... meat on legs, too. ... ... What % correction should we therefore use or do you think ... multiple regression analysis would be more appropriate? About 90% vinegar and 10% chips. the last time I ate chips with vinegar (about 20 years ago) it was the other way round. I'm more a mayo person. Are you related to Madge BTW? -- Mike Reid Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

I don't remember that, but the only museum I went to was the Picasso- unless you include some of the Gaudi houses. The Picasso had plenty of them. I have a Special Gift for going the wrong way round museums, but everywhere else I've been left alone to get on with it. Well, I suppose they couldn't have bothered me much then. [] I wouldn't have been happy with that either. I can't say we experienced that though. I found the waiters generally friendly- not gushing though. My partner hates eating late- I'm more easy going - we generally ate at around 7 every evening. While it's true that locals tend to eat later, I did notice plenty of other early diners. Out of interest, do you speak Spanish? Castillian very badly and Catalan approximately not at all. Actually, the language thing there slipped my mind. We don't speak any Catalan (though reading it didn't seem too hard)- just Peruano! I watched The Day After Tomorrow dubbed in Castillian, with Catalan subtitles. Probably the only interesting way to view such a movie! -- David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk http://homepage.mac.com/davidhornecomposer http://soundjunction.org |

It's as if he is trying to convince himself that moving to Paris forever was a good thing. I think so, he should stop as Paris *is* a good place to live, not perfect, but good. His & DFL's comments about English food match the impression my late father-in-law got about UK food on his only visit to UK in the cold winter of 1947. Yes, things have changed vastly over the last few years as I understand they have in US. My impression gained from sampling at 20 year periods is that things have got worse. Gone are the free meals in Las Vegas & the steaks and the lobsters elsewhere. Personally I find that things have gotten better. Ups and downs but overall better. The cheap Las Vegas meals were doomed as soon as enough freeloaders noticed that the gambling wasn't required. The concept of profit centers finished the job. Now I could complain about the social shift that pretty much now requires that everyone of age in a family work but perhaps work is good for you. Perhaps I'll figure that out if I ever get to retire. Travel is easier, food is better, communication is better even if buried in dross. |

One might use a ratio of good/bad. But you know Berlin
ain't that bad. Berlin is all right. I was there in September to check this out. Turan |

Now, Munich, OTOH, seemed to me to be the unfrendliest place
in Europe - which makes sense if you consider what started there ): Even many Germans complain about Bavarians' bad attitudes. (of course there are exceptions, I'm speaking in very generalized terms) You must have met the wrong people in Munich. Munich is one of the most popular places in Germany, which means that 70 per cent of the Munich inhabitants originally were not from Munich. Incidentally, I am one of this category. Turan |
