Following up to The Reid :

I suppose its also an interesting
variation to try and actually keep to the point he raised in the
first place?

I try, but I'm not very good at it. :-(

Following up to Martin :

I'm sort of resigned to that. It's always a good sign if Mixi completely
ignores your posts.

It's healthier sign, when we ignore his :-)

That's a sign of a clear thinker.

They must get really ****ed off when they figure out they're rocks.

They lack that degree of awareness.

thank you for reassuring us.

How does Mixi.reicarnation.2006 know that the rocks aren't seething
with rage, but have no way of expressing it?

How do we know that Mixi.reicarnation.2006 is the same as
Mixi.reicarnation.2004, who occasionally made more sense than
Mixi.reicarnation.2006 .

Martin, if you knew anything about metaphysics you wouldn't even need to
ask that question.

Huh? This sort of question is certainly actively debated by
neo-scholastic ("analytic") metaphysicians.

You need an imagination to play that game.

Are you saying that I lack an imagination?

If so, then how could the things I say about metaphysics be imaginary?

That's not the same thing, although, oddly enough, it takes
consciousness to conceive of it.

Is that what Tim said? Never mind- I think that what you've said about
anything so far in this thread is not imaginary, but crackers.

I was actually, yes.

You believe them to be true because you got the idea from somewhere else,
and didn't think it up all on your own.
