mrtravel responds:

And Bush's service record?????

Nice attempt at diversion. What's that got to do with Kerry?

Second, his explanation was that he was making fun of Bush's
educational experience (implying that Bush didn't do well at
university). That doesn't make any sense because Bush and
Kerry both went to the same University at approximately the
same time and Bush got better grades than Kerry.

What makes you think he was referring to Bush's university education?

I don't think American political discourse has quite dropped to the
level where politicians are so petty as to attack their opponents'
academic records in primary or secondary school, do you?

It is a Right Wing war so let the Right Wing fight it.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

Why not? We could then shift the cost of welfare to the poor.
After all, the rich don't need it. '-)

OK, I get it, you're a true Republican - you really *don't* have
anything better to fall back on than the tired old "Blame Clinton"
mantra.

Nice attempt at diversion. Did Bush inherit an economy in recesssion
from the Clinton administration, or not? Yes or no?

Oh my. You really *don't* have any better comeback than that. Life must
be very hard for you.

Don't pinch off intellectual excrement just to have the last word.
Answer the question:

Did Bush inherit an economy in recesssion from the Clinton administration,
or not? Yes or no?

Ahhh yes, some disaster that record stock market.

Quiz for you. What happens when you increase spending and cut taxes?

Nice attempt at diversion. What's that got to do with the record
stock market?

Are you referring to the Dow that took 6 1/2 years to go the 9 percent
from 11000 to 12000? How much did inflation increase in that 6 1/2 year
period? A lot more that 9 percent, right? Or did you mean the Nasdaq,
which is substantially below its record.

We had record high Dow numbers under Clinton... and NASDAQ.....
It is only 9 percent from 11000 to 12000.

The previous poster asserted that the Bush administration mismanaged
the economy. The rise in Dow numbers on Bush's watch is proof that
the economy _grew_ while Bush was in office. How _much_ it grew is
immaterial.

BS.. If inflation pushes up prices 30-40 percent and the stock market
value increases 9 percent, isn't that a relative LOSS? How well do you
think your retirement is going to go if your investments are losing 2 to
3 percent (or more) per year of value, when measured against inflation?
