Can anyone tell me if my family and I stay in Vienna to see the
Lippizon stallions on Sept. 17 and don't leave until 1:00p,m that day
to drive to Salzburg, will we have enough time in the
Salzbug/Munich/Garmische area in to see anything if we plan on leaving
for Venice on the morning of Sept. 19. Don't really know what there is
to do in the Salzburg area and how long it will take to see what is
there. Thanks for any information.

Also does anyone know of a reasonable place that is near to where the
Vienna Boys Choir performs. It is a place called Die Burgkapelle .
From what I can gather it is near Hofburg but can't seem to get much

hotel information on distance to the chapel where they perform.
Again thanks for any information.

At best you will only have not much more than a day, hardly time to see
much . It depends on what your interested in. see
http://www2.salzburg.info// . The is also a lot of area between Vienna
and Salzburg. There is a fair bit to see in Salzburg and a lot nearby
Salt mines, Ice caves, the lakes area., mountain railways etc
Some would spend a week in each easily.
Munich is a big city , with plenty to see, several days would only
scratch the surface,
Salzburg would be more managable in a short time, but remember its
Mozart Annaversary so is likly to be busy.
Clues as to what your interested in would be useful.

Munich has lots of interesting churches, excellent art and technology
museums, and a palace. Depending on how interested you are in the
museums, you would want 2-4 days there.

The Old Town of Salzburg is pretty but small. 2 days are enough in the
town itself, but it makes a good base for exploring the mountains
around it. The town has a fascinating hilltop fortress, palaces, and
Mozart-related sights.

The mountains around Salzburg are beautiful, and have lots of outdoor
activity options (whitewater rafting, hiking, canyoning, etc.) There's
also an ice cave tour.

In short, you might prefer to take extra time in Vienna or Venice
instead of rushing through Munich or Salzburg. If you want to stop in
one place, I'd stop in Salzburg, and see the Old Town and the fortress
- that's all you'd have time for.

Burgkapelle is in the Hofburg! (Schweizerhof)
