BTW, Alfred, if you haven't been to Turkey, this would be another
great destination for your next gallery. It is around the corner from
your home town, so no excuse ;-)

Turkey is one of the greatest places you can visit, but just not Bodrum
;-)

Sure is...

Let the detractors yell like hyenas.

I was by no means denigrating Turkey - probably my favourite destination,
with sights that I'll certainly not have the lifetime enough to see!
Just leave out (modern) Bodrum.

Sure, why not. There is a long weekend here in Germany (25-28 May),
ideal for exploring Istanbul, but I haven't been able to find a cheap
flight from Munich to Istanbul.

As I seem to have a reputation for being hard to impress, I expect it
to mean something when I say Istanbul is awesome. In fact Turkey is
generally just awesome, with truly something for everyone.

Let your photography skills run amok there!

And remeber to visit all the Greek and GreekByzantine monuments, since
Turks didn'tbuild any great monuments themselves.Oh don't forgetAgia
Sofia

Are you out of your tiny mind?
Who the hell do you think built the mosques and palaces of Istanbul?

Sure, sure! Greeks built the blue ceramic tiled "Blue Mosque" in Istanbul as
well as the Taj Mahal which was built by the then Turkish Emperor of India
in memory of his beloved wife.

Ooops! Turks ruled India???!

That's a new one on you, is it? Go and study history, mon ami!

'ERE! Look what came up with a Google search for the words "Turkish Rule
India" came up with...

http://www.google.com/search?as_q=Tu...ghts=&safe=off

And 'ere! Look what came up with a search for Mughal India

http://www.mughalindia.co.uk/room.html

Mughals were, if you didn't know, guess what.... TURKISH!

Look up also Akhbar Khan, the most famous of the Turkish rulers of India.

Suprise, surprise????!

There are lots of things about Turks you haven't heard of bwoy!!!

The Turks also ruled China, if you didn't know!!!!

Default Land of spacious skies: Bodrum - CHORO-NIK IS A RACIST HIPOCRITE

Choro-nik is a known liar on these newsgroups as you would have seen in
his response. Then he blames his "mood".

Here is the full line showing the choro-nik troll lying to the readers
of usenet that he did not change his nick.

http://groups.google.com/group/soc.c...e=UTF-8&rnum=9

He even congratulated a fellow troll on these forums called "Adanali" on
his quotes from Neom Chosmky on Theodore Roosevelt in an attempt to
discredit his character because he spoke of the Armenian genocide. BUT
the congratulations were never heard for Neom Chomsky quotes on Turkey
and Saudi Arabias support of the tyrannical Saddam regimes
opression of Kurds

Basically he's a hypocrite and a troll

To his credit, he really got up you!

If your perception were true, then it is hardly a credit for anyone to
be caught out lying.

Now who was it said that the Turks had built no monuments?
