Hi
Does anyone know where in the UK exchange the above currency
tried the post ofice but no joy

Why buy them in UK, you will get a much better exchange rate from an ATM at
the airport when you arrive.

If you asked for Balinese rupiah you would not have much luck.
The currency is the Indonesian Rupiah.

As others say you will get a much better rate in Indonesia. There are ATMs
and money changers (not a good rate, but OK for a small amount) in the
airport.

If you asked for Balinese rupiah you would not have much luck.
The currency is the Indonesian Rupiah.

Just be careful with the money changers. They often try to slip in 100's for
1000's so count it very carefully.

LOL, I once got done like that... realising only after I'd walked away. We
went back and I used the "I think you made a mistake..." approach. Without
question they happily exchanged the smaller notes for bigger ones, which
pretty much indicated to me that they felt they were lucky to get away with
what they could, but accepted it when they didn't.

Needless to say I was quite stunned they were so forthcoming with the cash.
