No, the OP didn't say that! Please read what he wrote, not what you
think he wrote.

It is important what the OP *actually* 'said' (AFAIK, all
communication was by email, i.e. not (partly) by phone) and what
Camperworld *actually* 'said'.

So, from the information which we *do* have, it is quite possible that
Camperworld did not consider it a booking, reservation, whatever,
until they received the deposit.

He said he faxed them Monday morning. Just wondering..... what time would
that have been in Perth???
Maybe Camperworld did hold the booking as promised. .... but on Australian
time.
Still waiting to hearfrom the OP as to why he didn't confirm by email.

I am on Camperworlds side here until convinced otherwise.
We are in the travel business and people quite often make contact and ask us
to hold rooms for them. We always set a time limit,- maximum of 24hours- for
cc details to be sent ( email or phone). After the time limit the room is re
marketed

I decided to book a pop-top bushcamper with them. Doug, who was very

So fellow travellers, be warned. Yes they are cheap, but THEY ARE NOT
RELIABLE. Consider what is more important in the long run.

I'm now going for SP4WD, and hope that they will keep their word.

our bookings. We have never had a problem to get the camper.
