Copenhagen and cheap beer
Dave Smith wrote: Jesper Lauridsen wrote: On 2005-05-19, Dave Smith wrote: Based on my experience in Denmark, beer is one of the few things that is not expensive. The last time I had to buy drinks in Denmark, a pint of beer was somewhere around 12 Kroner. That is very very far from a normal price. Prices like that are only seen at very downmarket places, mainly frequented by alcoholics and Greenlanders. 30kr is cheap, above 40kr is expensive. It was at the Irish Pub across the street from the train station. That supports Jesper's case. -- PB The return address has been MUNGED |

Euro0.25 a half litre tin of German beer in Lidl in Zuid Holland today Unfortunately, last week while visiting my favorite brewery in Ummendorf, Germany, I discovered a new product of theirs, Placidus Cobaldus. It's quite expensive 9 euros/liter, but damn good. I couldn't quite spring for saving money by buying the magnificent 3 liter bottle at 20.50 euros. In a way I wish I hadn't discovered it as drinking now might get way too expensive. Anyways, two cases of their mixed regular beer should suffice for a while. George |
