Titanium is not detected either.
Actually it now is by certain scanners

Actually it isn't in reality. I have a large piece in my leg
and it has yet to be detected by a scanner.

I have recently discovered that you can gross out "security" staff
by pulling a food-encrusted metal denture out of your mouth and
demanding a plastic tray to put it in for the x-ray scanner.

Only once has an airport anywhere ever detected the metal buckle
on my belt and that was at Geneva.

Scanners at Turkish airports are sensitive enough. I hadn't met
one that sensitive until flying out of Diyarbakir last week, and
then again at Istanbul (lots of surprised people having to take
their belts off). Presumably those detectors will also pick up
underwired bras.

I once went through an English airport wearing a kilt with assorted
metal buckles and sporran chain. Instant BOING! from the induction
loop. They gave up after I pointed out that (a) it was a bit too
big for me and would fall down with the belt off and (b) I wasn't
wearing anything under it.
