Hi,
I've been finding that if you travel with a laptop (or blackberry or....) you can find "open" wi-fi spots all over the place. I was just on a "camping" (cabins with AC, stoves, etc... but no telephones) and could get a decent wireless connection from some unsecured linksys router... probably just in somebody's private home/cabin with a cable connection somewhere in the valley. but you'll find them in hotels (maybe not your hotel... but put the laptop in the window and you're likely to get the fancy ***** hotel across the street :-}), computer stores, cafes, Starbucks, etc....
