Between $3.50 and $98.00

That's a "how long is a piece of fettucini" question.

Possibly some definitions of medium and advice of the region
you're visiting would help clarify that.

There is an enormous variety of cuisines, types of
restaurant, quality ranges, etc. We are the melting pot for
the world's cuisine.

You can share in a pizza in a restaurant for $3 each, or eat
well (but straight from the freezer via the stove) in an RSL
or Football club or the bar of a pub for $6-$10, or have a
great Asian banquet for $15 per head, or a good bistro meal
for $15-$25, or go up-market to a good restaurant for
anything above that.

Then there are the drinks - which can range from
Bring-your-own inexpensive wine (plus, sadly these days,
"corkage") to restaurant markups of 200%. So the drinks can
sometimes cost more than the food - or almost nothing.
