Default Tanzania - have the short rains started yet?

I believe that Dar es Salaam has had some showers - - have the inland
regions started to get the 'short season' rains yet?

Particularly interested in central/west more so than the Serengeti:
Ruaha NP and Katavi NP.

TIA,

-hh
