LAM - Mozambique Domestic Flights
Does anyone have any experience with LAM?
I'm trying to book a domestic flight Maputo-Pemba-Maputo for Feb. 2006. The LAM web site doesn't ask for any credit card or payment details when you "book" a flight, neither does it send you any confirming email. They don't answer when you email them, and it's almost impossible to get any information on the telephone, unless maybe if you speak Portugese. So having "booked" in this way it seems very uncertain, I hardly feel I can go ahead and plan my trip based on this, and then just expect to turn up at the airport and get on the plane at the price the web server offered me. I don't know how people cope with this system, unless they have infinite amounts of time and flexibility in their schedules. So I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has done it or maybe knows more. Thanks, David |
