The taxi fare should be around 300 Baht, including road tolls. Taxis are metered and they don't normally take US$, but might do so if you were to offer it at an attractive enough rate of exchange. You'd have to agree a flat-rate fare in US$ with the driver in advance, but don't expect to get a good rate doing it that way. You'd probably be better off changing $15 into Thai Baht rather than take a chance of finding a taxi who would accept it. Its so easy to change money in Bangkok and I'm sure there would be somewhere at the station where you could do it. Any left-over change could be used for a drink or snack at the airport. Chris |

Chris 300 Thai Baht is equal to US$9.30 at todays rate, so US$10 will cover fare with small tip. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |

He might insist on being paid in Thai Baht, or if he does accept foreign currencies he might want a better rate of exchange than the banks give. |
