London - April 2004 - Accomodations & General Questions
Have finally bit the bullet and decided that now (or rather April) is the
time for me to venture to London - which I've long desired to do. Going to be there four nights and traveling solo. Am thinking most likely a hostel. Have already got some friends canvassing other friends for recommendations, but would like to do the same here. Am thinking the hostel route both for cost and because although I don't plan to spend my whole time there where I lay my head at night, when I am there the opportunity to converse with other travelers would be nice (does that win a run-on sentence award?). I'm going on 32, so I'm not looking to party all night but am not dead either if that gives you any idea of the kind of place I'm interested in. Suggestions greatly appreciated. Also interested in the possibility of communicating with others who will be traveling to London at the same time. Are there any good boards or methods of finding such folks? Thanks! Mark A few weeks ago I posted a list of London hostels with price ranges and links to their websites on another forum: http://www.chatarea.com/backpackers.m1564755 There's also lots of hostel info on this site: http://www.uktrail.com/places/englan...box.php#London Some of the same ones I covered in my post are there, plus lots of others. Have fun! -------------------------- Visit Backpacker's Bulletin Board www.chatarea.com/backpackers |
