Best place to buy Euros (for Collectors)
I am a born again Coin collector. I started in the 70's and restarted in
the late 90's. I am interested in getting Euro coin sets directly from the government mints. I currently have the set mentioned in http://catalog.usmint.gov/wcs/wcs_co...r;1000,00.html This is the USA 2002 Quarters and Euro set. Are there such things as proof Euro coins? Do any of the mints have direct buying programs? I most likely would like to buy online. I will be in the Netherlands next week and Germany in February so could possibly go directly to a mint. Appreciate any replies. dennis |

You can get sets of coins directly from
San marino www.aasfn.sm and vatican city you just have to subscribe to their service san marino asks for a depot covering the costs of the set nominally set 2004 eur 40 plus 4 for postage both of them are very efficient and will send you a preliminaty issuing programme and then every now and then the booking form for every issue. good luck pls note that if you are lucky enough to buy these sets when they are issued.. there will be a huge line and it goes one set per person. also monaco issues euro coins. but I failed to find their webpage. If you don't like the idea of buying from a small dealer over the internet you will find coin shops in may European towns who can help you when you visit. tim dennis |
