Anti-Arnold protest rally today. Be there!
For anyone in the LA area, male, female or otherwise: There's an emergency "Code Pink" protest rally at Santa Monica Schwarzenegger campaign HQ. 1338 - Fourth Street (between Santa Monica and Arizona) at 5:00 pm. From moveon.org: http://www.codepinkalert.org/CodePin..._Protest.shtml "The press will be there to see just how angry women and all Californians are about the facts on Arnold Schwarzenegger that have recently come to light.... "We can stop Arnold Schwarzeneggr in his tracks. Do you think a candidate with a record of degrading comments and actions toward women should become governor of California? Are you disgusted that someone with no political or policy experience might be elected to lead the largest state in the U.S. and the fifth largest economy in the world? So please turn out in force this afternoon at 5:00. Particularly welcome are men who think it's cheap and crummy to take advantage of women who are afraid to protest lest they lose their jobs. EVERY one of Arnold's victims reported the same fear. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. -- Traveler |

Without commenting on your assertion that it's the Democrats who destroyed California (or, for that matter, that California has, in fact, been destroyed), is it your belief that any Republican, regardless of qualification, position, etc., should be elected instead of a Democrat? |

I have had occasion to check out some of her to-the-right-of-Genghis Kahn stories about which I had personal knowledge. Doesn't leave me with much confidence in Ms. Jill. -- Traveler Fri, Oct 3, 2003 "We can stop Arnold Schwarzeneggr in his tracks. Lots of media. Most of the passing cars honked and waved approval. Makes you think maybe there's a chance of California waking up in time from this White House-engineered nightmare of an ignorant, vulgar, unqualified nobody being installed as puppet governor of the largest state in the union -- the fifth largest economy in the world. -- Traveler |

Apparently many were, though there were female victims Arnold just happened to encounter -- like in the elevator near-rape. Given the powerful names in the Hollywood Reporter today, wouldn't they be greeted as a hero ? We're talking about low-level "soldiers" who, like most low-level female workers, have little influence; are you suggesting that the "powerful names" you mention above would be strong female supporters? Or what? Honestly do not understand; sorry. -- Traveler |
