Hello,
First of all, sorry for my english i'm french !
I'm searching information for my one year 4WD trip through Africa then
Australia,
Departure January 2004
I seek recent infos, testimonys on terrestrial border crossing to join
Cameroon.
I have 2 options: Can you give me advices on :
1 - long Version Niger - Chad - Cameroon : Nguigmi - Chad (by
Rig-rig) -Bol -Mao - Djamena - Kélo - Moundou - Pala -
Léré and Cameroon (by Garoua)
2 - short Version Niger - Nigeria - Cameroon : - Diffa - Nigeria
(by Maduguri) - Cameroon (by Mora) - Maroua
Difficulty of the ways?
State of the roads and tracks (off-road) ?
Frequentation by local transport, tourists?
How are the border crossing ?
Is it necessary to take guides in particular in the neighbourhoods of
the lake Chad?
Do you know places to be avoided particularly (safety)?
Is it safe to cross Cameroon with one vehicule ?
Thank you in advance for any information which can enable me to have
an idea
PS: IF you have "tourist" infos more (places with going to see,
nobody to contact...) I accept them with pleasure !!!
So long, Nadine
