Visiting Tanzania - Want to Learn Kiswahili
Can you tell us if you are just going for a holiday or going out for
longer? At present, I am planning to go for a holiday of about 3 weeks. If you are just going for a holiday the link I gave you should be fine for learning words of greeting and please, thank you, goodnight, etc. One thing about Swahili is that All letters are pronounced, unlike English. The web link you provided is great. I must confess that I hadn't went through enough of the links to truly appreciate it until last night. While I think the content is probably more than sufficient for my needs, my only remaining concern is that without some sort of audio component I might be too far off in my pronunciation to be understood. I'm hoping that listening to BBC broadcasts might help me to develop an ear for it and alleviate those concerns. And the best part of it all is that the resources you provided are FREE!!!! (THANKS!) |
