Carrying a Leatherman with only one bag
Hi there...
I'll be travelling abroad to Thailand in a few months and will only be carrying a 28L carry-on with me. I intend to bring my Leatherman with me but I'm not sure how to pack it since all I'm bringing is only one bag. What do you all suggest?? |

Or check the luggage? |

If it's a leatherman that you value, don't try to bring it through the
checkpoint, because it will be taken away. I took more of those away from people than anything else. You do have the option to mail it to yourself (you have to leave the checkpoint and then get back in line again) or take the bag with the leatherman and check it in, once again getting in line again. At peak travel times with lines going out into the parking garage, that's not a good option. As suggested, you could purchase one when you arrive. |

That is, if you're not arrested for bringing it to the checkpoint, which is now a criminal offense in and of itself. |

How many items have been confiscated? |

One way tickets, pocket knives, PLEASE........ What prevents a terrorist from buying a round trip ticket and then using a wine bottle to inflict whatever damage he would use a pocketknife for? I doubt you could even find the security checkpoint. How do you know what time I am supposed to be working? You complain no matter what time I post. Am I supposed to be working 24x7x366? Were you a snitch as a kid? Did you used to rat out people who didn't have hall passes? |
