Default Garibaldi Provincial Park

We plan to visit the Vancouver area in late April or early May. I
noticed that Garibaldi Provincial Park is not too far from the city.
We were thinking about it for either a day trip or even to stay in the
area.

Is this a good park to visit for the casual (non-hiking) visitor
traveling by car? On the Provincial Park website, there was a
statement that no motorized vehicles (like motorcycles or snowmobiles)
were permitted in the park. We didn't know if that meant that this
park was strictly a wilderness park and whether we would be able to
enjoy some of its scenic wonders from our rental car.

I appreciate your help.

The link below should tell you what you need to know. It is a wilderness
park with hiking trails into the interior. Cars have to be left in the
parking lots, which you can see in the maps linked to that site.

There is lots of accommodation in Whistler. It is roughly a two hour drive
from Vancouver to Whistler and the scenery is incredible,

Thanks for responding. I had already checked that web address, but I
had a hard time determining whether a drive to the park took you to
any of the real scenery or whether everything had to be hiked to.

We're good for 1-2 mile hikes, but that's about it.

Thanks again.

The drive to Whistler is worth it for the scenery along the way.
