Steiner Leisure Ltd., which operates many shipboard spa and salons,
announced income of $10.8 million in the second quarter, compared with $9.6
million for the same period in 2005. Revenues rose 19.9 percent to $117.2
million from $97.8 million last year. Earnings per share before discontinued
operations were 61 cents per share, compared with 53 cents per share for the
comparable quarter last year. Revenues for the six months ended June 30 rose
15.2 percent to $221.8 million from $192.5 million last year. Income for the
six-month period was $21.4 million, compared with $18.7 million. "Our second
quarter performance was in line with our expectations," said Leonard
Fluxman, president and CEO. "Despite the annual repositioning of certain
ships to Alaska and the Mediterranean during this quarter, our execution in
