Driving conditions around Bryce and Grand Canyon

Hi Folks

I am planning to drive from Las Vegas to Zion and Bryce
national parks this weekend and drive to Grand Canyon early
next week. I am driving a rental car (Buick Century).
The weather channel predicts snow and snow showers
during my stay at Bryce and drive to the Grand Canyon(South Rim).

I would love to hear recommendations and previous experiences
regarding driving and (light to medium) hiking conditions.
I haven't driven in snow as I am from Southern California.
Is driving painful in snowy conditions in these areas?

You might want to consider upgrading to a 4x4 SUV. I think the
forcast doesn't expect heavy snow, so it might not be that bad.
But there will be icy spots which might cause problems.

Driving will depend on the conditions, you should be flexible
in your schedule and have backup options in case you can't
get to one place or the other. I'm from Southern California
also, and did the same thing last Thanksgiving which included
tempratures in the teens and the occasional snow flurry around
Bryce. You can also get snow chains and use them as needed but
I've never used them. My understanding they are only needed if
road is completely covered with snow.

Many of the trails in Bryce were icy, so can be quite dangerous.
