LH YVR=>FRA - Which side of Plane? Which Seats?
Hi Everyone,
In mid-February I'm flying Lufthansa from YVR to FRA and back: LH493 dep YVR 15:25 arr FRA 10:30 (+1) LH492 dep FRA 12:25 arr YVR 13:45 Can anyone suggest which side of the plane to sit on? Outbound it would be nice to be on the "darkest" side to catch some shut-eye, inbound (daytime), whichever side might have the best daytime views of Greenland etc. Also, does anyone have any economy seating suggestions? It's an A340-400 & there will be two of us. Based on this seating plan... http://tinyurl.com/727ca ....it looks like the row 41 windows might have a smidge more leg room. Anyone know if that's the case? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Geoff in Vancouver |

PS Sorry, that's an A340-*300* not 400 (first correction post didn't 'take')

So on the eastbound flight (to FRA), searting on the left of plane gets you the most darkness and perhaps a view on aurora borealis. (left is facing north) For the return trip, sitting on the left gets you the most sunshine. (left is facing south). http://gc.kls2.com/cgi-bin/gc?PATH=y...NGE-STYLE=best shows you the shortest possible route (not necessarily what you'll fly). |
